Thermo-Floor Provide A More Comfortable Wait In Hospital!
The design of Peterborough’s multi million pound city hospital has delivered a better health service to the public with a home from home feeling. Thermo-Floor, contracted by Mercury Engineering, has provided the patrons of Peterborough Hospital with a more comfortable wait in the reception area with simultaneous underfloor heating or cooling.
Simultaneous underfloor heating or cooling is made possible by a manifold that provides underfloor heating using a heat source, for example a boiler, and underfloor cooling from a chiller plant. By offering this complete solution, Thermo-Floor ensures the waiting area is not affected by solar gain from the glass roofed atrium, therefore maintaining the room temperature in all seasons.
Neil Evans, Managing Director of Thermo-Floor; “Thermo-Floor were able to be part of this exciting project as a result of the research and development carried out by our team in the Netherlands to supply a unique manifold which integrates a plate heat exchanger within its design to allow simultaneous underfloor heating or cooling. It is clear the benefit of our products can meet the demanding specifications and green agenda of this industry”.
