Underfloor cooling systems

Cool Your Home Or Workspace

We provide a range of underfloor cooling systems to suit all projects

Thermo-Floor underfloor heating systems provide heating where it is needed most, at floor level. The concept has been around for centuries, first used by the Romans who warmed air by an open fire which passed through voids below their dwellings. Today underfloor heating systems are far more advanced and are the ‘next generation’.

Thermo-Floor underfloor heating systems provide cost effective and energy efficient heating during the winter months but they can also be used to provide underfloor cooling in the summer months. Our range of products allow us to provide underfloor cooling all year round if required (for warmer climates) and we can also provide underfloor heating or cooling.

Is It Right For Your Home?

Why Choose Underfloor Cooling?

The benefits of underfloor cooling are similar to those of underfloor heating.

It is more cost effective – underfloor cooling systems can be more cost effective than air conditioning as the outside of the building accumulates less heat therefore reduces heat build up and consequently reduces energy consumption.

It is healthier – underfloor cooling systems eliminate drafts, air pollution and dust circulation for a healthier, more comfortable home.

It looks great – underfloor cooling systems are hidden from view, unlike unsightly air conditioning units.

How Does Underfloor Cooling Work?

An underfloor cooling system will pass chilled water from a ground source heat pump, an air source heat pump or chiller through pipes within your floor. This, in turn, cools your home from the ground-up, creating comfortable air temperature and a more stable climate.

Underfloor Cooling Design

We offer a bespoke design service using full colour AutoCAD at no extra cost.

When designing your underfloor cooling system we take into account condensation on cooled surfaces. A dew point sensor on the underfloor cooling system reduces the risk of condensation and ensures the cooling capacity is greater when relative humidity is lower.

We cover everything from preliminary discussions, through to dew point and humidity calculations to final installation by our own trained staff. We also provide a zone drawing indicating the manifold positions, floor sections and pipe layout.
