Underfloor Heating Flooring Solutions
Think your property can’t benefit from underfloor heating? Think again.
Gone are the days that underfloor heating was time-consuming and difficult to install.
Today, heating solutions have advanced so much that they can be retrofitted into virtually any building. From a 10th floor apartment to a Grade II listed building, Thermo-Floor will help you find an installation method that suits your unique requirements.
Screed
Using various methods for fixing pipes in place, and utilising rigid thermal insulation boards to retain heat, an underfloor heating system can be quickly and efficiently installed on any structural floor before being screeded in place.
Wooden Batten
By laying wooden battens over the top of existing screed or concrete flooring, a cavity can be created which allows underfloor heating to be laid, with or without additional insulation. This allows for underfloor heating pipes to be retrofitted without the need to remove existing flooring.
Suspended Floor
Unless you have a new-build property, you’re likely to have suspended floors. Whether you have standard or engineered floor joists, underfloor heating can be retrofitted into your home, replacing the draughty air from under your floorboards with radiant warmth.
Floating Floor
The creation of a floating floor is ideal when removal of the existing flooring isn’t an option. Using a system of battens or joists, the underfloor heating system can be laid above the old flooring and a floating floor fitted above.
Overlay Systems
For speed and convenience, an overlay system is ideal. Lightweight and easy to assemble, overlay floor panels are designed to be fitted directly over concrete, floorboards or solid flooring and are suitable for covering with laminate, carpet, tiles, vinyl or engineered wood.
