Air Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pump installation improves the comfort and sustainability of your home
Air source heat pumps work by converting the energy from external air into heat. This not only creates a comfortable temperature inside your home, but also supplies energy for your hot water system. As with all heat pumps, air source models are at their most efficient when supplying low temperature systems, such as under floor heating.
Ground Source Heat Pumps
Ground source heat pumps, the future of home heating
Ground source heat pumps also work best when paired with heating systems that are optimised to run at lower water temperatures than are commonly used in UK boiler and radiator systems. As such, they make an ideal partner for under floor heating systems.
The only energy used by a ground source heat pump system is the electricity needed to power the pumps. Typically, a ground source heat pump will deliver three or four times as much thermal energy (heat) as is used in electrical energy to drive the system. For an even more environmentally friendly solution, switching to a green electricity provider completes the chain of sustainability.
With a large range of funding options available through various government schemes, it’s never been easier to fund part or all of the cost of your new heat pump.
