Our commissioning service
The Thermo-Floor team make commissioning your next commercial project easy.
Thermo-Floor are experts at underfloor heating design, supply, installation and the important commissioning stage. We have installed and commissioned underfloor heating for a wealth of projects, from self build dwellings to 400-apartment development complexes.

Commissioning process
The process of underfloor heating commissioning follows these simple steps.
Check curing time with the screed manufacturer or contractor and comply with any curing instructions. Only after the finishing layer has been applied over the pipes and has cured naturally for approximately 5 weeks, can the underfloor heating be started up.
1 -First Day of Underfloor Heating Operations
On the first day of heating operations open the primary control valve. On the first day, set the water temperature of the floor heating at approximately 25°C by setting the temperature regulating valve on the manifold, or by setting the boiler thermostat to a lower temperature. Each day raise the water temperature by 5°C up to a maximum of 50°C. This will reduce the moisture content.
When starting the system for the very first time it may take a relatively long time (up to one week) before the water in the underfloor heating pipes and the floor surface get up to temperature. This is because the screed/concrete floor is still damp. It is only after the floor has completely dried out, that the underfloor heating will be working at its best.
2 – Check The Maximum Underfloor Heating Thermostat
Check whether the high limit thermostat on the manifold is fitted and connected according to the provided wiring diagram. When supplied with an adjustable limit stat make sure it is set to a maximum of 55°C.
